We support the work of Australian Baptist Missionaries and specifically partner with the Houston family and the translation ministry among the YAWO people of Malawi and Mozambique.
Satish John was sent out from the Church over 20 years ago to minister to his people in Northern India. This has involved discipleship and leadership training as well as Christian education through the establishment of many different schools in Dehradun and beyond.
Selwyn and Christine Sexton have been involved in this work for many years. This has meant typically going to Africa each year for several months training workers and supporting Churches in evangelism and discipleship ministries. This year Christine went home to be with the Lord and Selwyn continues in a support role in the work of Sowers.
We help support Farid and Parila Qurbanpur and their family in an outreach ministry to many recent arrivals to Australia
A ministry to Jewish people
Special Religious Education
Our Church is a key supporter of both Primary and High School Scripture across the Southern Highlands including working with other local Churches and the Southern Highlands Christian Education Association. Over the years we have been involved in providing volunteers for primary teaching and funding Scripture teachers in Bowral and Moss Vale High Schools.
OTHER ANNUAL MINISTRY PARTNERSHIPS
These include Cross Over Australia (Easter Offering) and Baptist World Aid (Christmas Offering) as well as Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan Purse), Ping Pong A Thon and Mission Aviation Fellowship. For around 50 years the Church has also been involved in a local outreach ministry during ‘Tulip Time’. This ministry has provided opportunities for care and evangelism, and supporting community initiatives to help Rural, Bushfire and Disaster Relief.
• Continuing contact with Mission work associated with a previous Mission Friendship Group continues including Mission Without Borders, CMI Aid and International Teams which have a focus on Eastern Europe.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on way to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. We collect the boxes and provide them to Samaritan’s Purse to distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations.
Ping Pong-A-Thon is a table tennis event that supports the work of several amazing organisations committed to protecting and caring for young people impacted by modern day slavery and sexual exploitation.
