ANGEL TREE – Children of Prisoners @ Christmas

PRISON FELLOWSHIP ANGEL TREE

Founded in 1982 by an ex-prisoner who witnessed first hand the strained relationship between prisoners and their children, Angel Tree has grown to become a national outreach specifically for children of prisoners.

On Christmas Day, thousands of children in Australia open a present from their father or mother or grandparent who is not there – they are in prison. If it weren’t for Angel Tree, these children would miss out on a gift from their missing relative.

This Church has supported Angel Tree for many years.  Now, because we don’t have any prison visitors, we collect donations from the church fellowship to forward to the Head Office.  From there, gifts are purchased for children of prisoners—the innocent victims when their parent is incarcerated.

There will be an Angel Tree in the Hall, with a Giving Box beside it.  Please place a donation there, if you wish to do so.
